Language Matters’ Intern Program Gains Momentum

After revitalizing their approach to internships within the company, the LM team has taken on its first round of interns!

Since January 2026, the competitive program has welcomed three interns, one of whom has already received an external award for his contributions to the company and noteworthyness as a language student. Graysen Wilkins, LM’s first high-school intern, received the World Languages Department award from Homestead High School in Fort Wayne. While focusing on social-media research and improvements to the LM SmartHub app, Graysen maximized his senior internship to improve his language skills and participate in innovation projects.

Shortly after Graysen was brought onboard, Rosey Dunham was introduced on Language Matters’ Facebook page as the team’s newest intern- the post reported that Rosey lived abroad in Nicaragua for several years before attending Grace College, where she developed strong bilingual skills. While in Nicaragua, she also learned how cultural nuances affect translation and interpretation, which will be primary focuses of her LM placement.

LM’s most recent intern appointment, Emerson Crawford, lived in Costa Rica for 11 years, where she completed much of her K-12 education in Spanish. After long-term exposure to varied cultural environments, Emerson values workplace environments that demonstrate care for international communities, and plans to pursue interpretation and translation in her future career.
