Innovation, collaboration, and a lot of coffee made for an exciting week at this year’s AIM Summit, which took place at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne.
For mayors and city employees across Indiana, AIM’s Idea Summit represented a time to learn from other local leaders and businesses about the solutions available for challenges they are facing in their communities.
The result? Collective growth and cooperation that will positively impact communication, safety, and economic development for hundreds of thousands of Indiana residents.
Our Language Matters team engaged with countless community leaders throughout the week, and the highlight of the time was the Indiana Conference of Mayors’ (ICOM) Luncheon.
During the gathering, CEO Lucas Fonseca shared about the data-driven process we use at Language Matters to help cities connect more effectively with their non-English speaking communities, and the unprecedented success of that method.
We are so grateful for the enthusiastic response we received from ICOM members; their desire to meet the needs of their non-English speaking populations and increase efficiency in their cities was evident in our conversations with them.
Many thanks to ICOM, AIM, and our city partners for prioritizing these initiatives- with the support of these organizations and our local governments, it won’t be long before Indiana makes its debut as a national leader in connecting with non-English speakers.
