General Job Description: 

Language Matters Associates take on meaningful and exciting tasks to support the growth and maintenance of Language Matters. Associates will assist LM Directors as they deliver services to corporate clients and take on a variety of roles such as: tutoring, call center, and translation services as requested by company directors. This position reports to the Director of Client Services and Director of Communication of Language Matters. Specialization is also an opportunity after a probationary period.

 

Part-Time Position: 15-25 hours per week.

Compensation: $11-15 per hour.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain consistent communication with Directors and other Associates

• Support LM leadership as they deliver a variety of services to clients

• Assist in the LM Bilingual Call Center 

• Tutor LM tutoring clients (English, Spanish)

• Support leadership and current Language Associates with translation projects

• Support leadership with business development and communication projects

• Make recommendations to directors to improve the services provided

• Support directors as they train other associates and junior-associates

Qualifications:

• Bilingual: Proficient in both Spanish and English

• Bachelor's Degree (Business or Communications preferred but not necessary)

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Associates undergo a 3-month probationary period. Once this probationary period is complete, they can choose to follow one of the following specialized paths, depending on current pathway availability:
